Gentlemen Do Prefer Blondes
Joelene & Dan (or should I just say Joelene) created an absolutely stunning wedding at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center in Reading. Being a wedding coordinator herself, Joelene planned out an amazing wedding with details that were just beautiful, fun and very old Hollywood. I started out with my friend Matt from Krotzer Photography at the hotel where the girls and guys were getting ready. Let me just say that a lot of jokes were told to keep tears from flowing in the girls room. Just ask Joelene about bananas and see if she starts laughing. After a while Matt made his way down to photograph the guys and I stayed back with the girls. We eventually made our way down to the lobby for a few photos before heading off to the Sovereign Performing Arts Center to get the ceremony going.
The ceremony was beautifully laid out with nice floral and fabric touches all over the place. After a wonderful and touching ceremony we made our way to the theatre area where we were able to take some great photos of the wedding party along with some photos of the couple by themselves. Then it was outside for a few quick photos before getting Joelene & Dan up to be introduced into the reception.
The reception was spectacular! With loads of old Hollywood details on the tables, a slideshow of the couple’s life, a popcorn bar, Hollywood movie star cut outs, flowers and so much more to keep people entertained and really show off the beautiful structure of the old building. After some touching and very funny speeches, everyone ate a delicious dinner. After dinner there was some dancing along with a garter and bouquet toss that was interrupted by a couple of unexpected “girls” to the floor for the bouquet toss. See the photos below because words simply can’t describe what happened. After that it was time for getting down and partying. Thanks to some great props the night turned into a blast and everyone just had more fun than you can imagine.
