Preston & Steve Camp Out For Hunger
On Wednesday I was able to take the 378 lbs of food down to the Camp Out for Hunger presented by Preston & Steve and WMMR Philadelphia. The pictures below are from my trip down to donate and spend my morning watching their show.
During the show, they had a few guests come by. First, Philly Bloco (A Philadelphia based Brazilian band) was the house band playing some really fun music! Former Flyer Bernie Parent stopped by to donate and hang out. He also got to play the “Hunger Games” game that the show had going on. The game comprised of guests who stopped by shooting suction cup arrows onto a target to raise money from a sponsor. Then, my favorite guest of the day, Robert Irvine from Restaurant Impossible, stopped in and to everyone’s surprise, donated $10,000!! I was able to go out and talk to him for a few minutes and get a photo with him. He was a really nice guy and as you can tell, very charitable! After Robert, current Flyer Scottie Hartnell & director Judd Apatow stopped in together. We found out after they left that Judd didn’t want any praise for donating his $10,001 dollars! He said the $1 extra was because he just wanted to one up Robert! LOL!! It was a great day and I had a lot of fun as always when I go down to watch the show!
The big numbers are the totals for the entire week that the Camp Out is going on. The 378 lbs of food helped go to a total of, are you ready for this??
