Host Wedding Show – Contest Winner
Sunday, January 17, 2010 was a full day at the Host Resort for the Wedding Show we attended as vendors. It was a great day and we met so many really nice brides, grooms, parents, siblings and friends. We’d like to thank everyone who made it out, even in the rain, for the event. It was a great time and I hope everyone met with some of the great vendors that were in attendance.
We started out the day around 8am heading over to set things up. It took about 2 hours to get everything out of the car and set up. Once set up we had a chance to go around meet some other vendors. Wedding vendors are the best people. Everyone is extremely nice and willing to help each other out. The show doors opened around noon and it was a non stop stream of people until around 3:30. For me, 3 and a half hours of non stop talking a lot! But I was more than happy to meet with all of the really nice brides. For some reason it always take 4-5 times longer to set everything up than to tear down. It only took about a half hour to tear down and then pack it up in the truck. Oh, and the rain made things a bit more interesting while packing up. My wife Melissa from Stylish Occasions and I were so hungry after the show that we didn’t even make it home before we had to stop for food. We were out near our favorite chinese food location, Tony Wangs, so we decided to stop. It was really worth it. I love that place! And now for the fun part, the Contest Winner. I held a contest for someone to win 25% off a wedding photography package. I had a great response with tons of entries. As soon as I got home last night I put the contest sheets in a little basket and let my 3 year old daughter pick the name out. I contacted the winner and with great excitement she accepted her prize.
